Power Outage stops class

Around 11 o’clock yesterday, students and teachers in class were suddenly thrown into the dark as lights, computers and smart-boards around the school turned off.

According to Carlmont’s School Resource Officer, the outage was caused by a faulty transformer located in San Carlos. While power was restored minutes after the outage began, teachers had to work around to the interruption.

According to Vice Principal Robert Fishtrom, teachers “should be able to adapt to any situation and improvise on the fly.” But some classes, such as Digital Photography, were virtually halted when their computers lost power.
