Obama’s bay area visit

With the 2012 campaign starting to heat up, Obama began his tour of California to accept donations to bankroll his reelection campaign Sunday as he arrived at Moffet field in Mountain View early Sunday morning.
He was greeted by protesters and supporters alike as he was quickly whisked to attend various fundraisers, including ones at the homes of Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberghyrl and Symantec Chairman Jack Thompson.
Tickets to these events ranged from $2,000 up to $35,000 to dine with the president.
The press was not allowed into the fundraisers
Before he departed for Los Angeles Monday, he held a town-hall style meeting at the LinkedIn headquarters in Mountain View where users were able to submit questions for the president to answer.
The president focused on job creation and growth, talking about ways to fix the economy and put more people back to work, saying that “[the current economic recession] isn’t just in the United States, it’s a global problem …. the point is that economies around the world aren’t growing as they need too.”
He took questions from users and people at the event before leaving for Los Angeles and southern California.
